The recipe calls for 4 cubes butter.....Is that the cubes that are 1/2 cup each (so 1 lb of butter)?

I love these cookies. It might have 4 cubes of butter, but it makes a ton of cookies.
P.S. I cook them at 450 degrees for 6-8 minutes. They are crispy on outside and chewy in the center.
