Cookies From Cindy C.



Lindsay McGiven's Oatmeal Cookies


4 cubes butter                                      2 tsp. baking soda
3 cups brown sugar                                      2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar                                                    5 cups flour
4 eggs                                                    4 cups rolled oats
2 tsp. baking powder    1 large bag milk chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt                            1 large symphony candy bar


Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Mix in flour, salt, baking powder,
and baking soda, and vanilla. Add oats, and blend well. Mix in chocolate
chips, and chopped candy bar. Drop large tablespoons of dough on
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degree for 7-8 min.

The recipe calls for 4 cubes butter.....Is that the cubes that are 1/2 cup each (so 1 lb of butter)?

I love these cookies. It might have 4 cubes of butter, but it makes a ton of cookies.
P.S. I cook them at 450 degrees for 6-8 minutes. They are crispy on outside and chewy in the center.
