are you ready?
matt and i spent new years eve like any rational, normal,
boring adult would...
at home making a homemade dinner...
(we are empty nesters after all and under no obligation to pretend to be cool)
matt did the the heavy duty stuff
like kneading the dough...
and i did the intellectual part...
waiting for dough to rise...
i cheated,
like i often do,
and used these great gifts i got from my children for christmas...
(this pizza sauce was excellent)!!!
it's from here
i did make it romantic though,
i used the good dishes and we even
sat at the table...
we laughed a lot and talked about how much we missed our kids and how we really, really hoped they
were having a great new years eve...
we enjoyed a cozy fire afterwards while watching
this...
it was really cute and funny:)
~~~~~~
i picked pizza for my food theme this month even though it has nothing to do with anything.
i picked it because january is not my favorite month...
it's actually my 12th favorite...
not very high...
(it might change with birth of baby blue:))
and pizza is one of my favorites
and it makes me happy...
so happy january...
ps...
the pizza was delicious and i will be featuring some of my favorite pizza places and pizzas
this month to make you happy:)
bye...
more later...
