i feel quite honored and proud that they chose us...
they also featured some our delicious ideas
for pairing food with books...
they chose this one...
Baked Caramel Popcorn
1 cup real butter
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
boil to 240 deg. w/ candy thermometer
remove from stove
add 1/2 tsp soda...stir
pour over warm popcorn.
spread over cookie sheet.
bake for 45 min at 250 deg.
this is mom's and my favorite...we add raisins and nuts and i think it is yummy with pretzel m&m's too. add these before baking. also sprinkle with sea salt if you like the salted caramel flavor. you will most likely become addicted too:)

they were featured in the costco connection magazine during the month of february and it's fitting that we chose
"the night circus"
because we read that last year in february...

Wahoo! This is so cool!! Going to check out now!!
Awesome. You have done a great job with the blog.
Staci you rock. I love the article and what you have done to keep our family close. I never thought 26 years ago that I could leave my close knit family and survive as an Army wife. I did and my kids grew up far from Grandparents and cousins, but we did ok. Your blog keeps me connected to you all and it keeps our memories of Grandma J alive!! We dearly loved her and I enjoy seeing her handwriting on recipes we loved.
SO proud of you mom! :) I just went and read it and a tear came to my eye. you are so awesome, and so is your blog. Love you!!
Oh my gosh Staci! I am so excited for you that your "little blog" got this kind of attention. It has been so much fun to be included. I appreciate all of your efforts in reviewing, updating, picture taking, recipe copying etc. Not only is this a great way to stay in touch, but it helps all of us to remember Grandma, and our childhood and all of the fun family time we spent together. You are incredibly talented and I am grateful that not only are you my cousin, but you are my friend.
I love you!
Cindy
